Fantastic, unbelievable, historic remodel just 1/4 mile from Homewood Ski Resort. Lakefront, landscaped, private beach, huge yard, guest house, private buoy, and more! This wonderful home was originally built in 1911 and in 2003 an entire remodel from the ground up took place to restore it to its original state. You'll find 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in the main house, along with an outstanding kitchen, huge gas-burning fireplace, and lake views from all rooms! In the guest house there is a king-size bed downstairs and 2 double beds in the loft. You can sleep 10 people total, walk to Homewood Ski Resort in about 5 minutes, and have perfect serenity from any room or location on this fabulous property.

12/25/2023Customer service at the start was great and courteous. The cabin looks just like the picture. Me and my family loved staying here and enjoyed our time. Small hiccup on the stove, but they got one and brought next day. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Said Opeyany

11/24/2021If you are looking for a classic " Old Tahoe" experience, this is the place! It was ideal for our family Thanksgiving with the little ones and parents to enjoy.... the yard, the deck, the beach..... great place to just chill and take in Tahoe! The decor makes it very comfy and takes you back to the early days of Tahoe. We hope to come back soon!
The real deal folks -perfectly located, beautiful lakefront views and beach, and great sense of humor in decorating! - San Ramon, CA
04/29/2021This cabin is the real deal and is fitting for winters or summers in Tahoe. It is in such a gorgeous setting with excellent places to lounge inside by the huge fireplace or out back in many seating areas and has it's own private beach and dock. Very comfortable with large rooms and sleeping quarters designed to host families and outdoor gatherings. After settling in, no one wanted to leave the place. It gives off that hunter's lodge vibe and I don't want to give away some of the quirky surprises, but it took my teens a little while to adjust at the beginning. They ended up loving it and would go back in a heartbeat. It's designed to fit the owner's lifestyle and awesome sense of humor and carries a practical and beautiful and quirky feel. You can just tell the fullness of life experienced in this home. It is AUTHENTICALLY RUSTIC and so not super clean in the main well-used places - especially on the floors. Though the bedding and towels were super clean and neat and we felt very comfortable in every room. Oddly enough, we were thankful of the pet stains on the living room carpet because we learned it keeps away the bears that like to wander in the area and it was Spring after all. (We're pretty sure we had a bear visitor around 2:00 am at the quest house one night, so we activated the electric door mats at that house when going to bed for the rest of our stay) NOTE that the kitchen amenities were heavy duty cast iron as appropriate to this cabin, but not enough non-stick options for us, so next time we'll bring our favorite pan and spatula for an easier time. :-) Expect spacious, comfortable, rustic, gorgeous setting and everything you need for above glamping experience. Don't expect super clean and contemporary rental renovations. We've stayed at enough rented cabins to run the gamut and know the pros and cons of various styles and amenities. This experience is one to cherish and remember. Thanks for sharing your home.
Comment from Jimmie MorrisBusiness OwnerThanks for your detailed feedback. We will definitely look at the cooking supplies situation and get some nonstick pans for future guests. We will also send someone over to look at the carpets. We have had an unusually busy year and they probably need to be professionally cleaned more often. We're so glad to hear your family had a fun time at this property. It's definitely a special home.

03/28/2021I was celebrating my 65th birthday with my family and it was so wonderful to be at this beach house. I felt the warmth and love at this house the minute we walked in. Enjoyed a beautiful sunrise on my birthday on the beach. I will cherish our time with the family forever. Thank you.

02/05/2019Unbelievable lake front home! Gorgeously decorated in "Old Tahoe Luxury". Cozy, warm, comfortable and wonderful! We had 2 families with 10 people. There is a main house and a "cottage" so it worked out great, and did I mention RIGHT ON THE LAKE?! The ladies at the Tahoe City Office where we picked up the keys were really friendly. Gave us a bottle of wine, local coffee and bag of goodies.
There was LOTS of snow. We skied 2 days at Homewood Mountain. No fighting crowds, just affordable lift tickets (pre-purchase online), the best views in Tahoe! And It's just down the street. We also walked to dinner at the nearby West Shore Cafe and the food and service were unbelievable! Obexer's general store had all of the other snacks and beverages we needed for a 3 day weekend.
Great house, great location, we will be back!
