This is a paved walking/biking trail that extends through the heart of South Lake Tahoe. It runs from the Stateline casinos along highway 50 through South Tahoe neighborhoods to the Tahoe Keys area. It then parallels highway 89 toward Emerald Bay, providing access to the popular National Forest beaches and attractions, including Pope Beach, Kiva Beach, Baldwin Beach, Taylor Creek profile chamber, and the Tallac Historical site. The pink area in the map below represents an area where it's not an independent path - it meanders through some well marked quiet neighborhood streets in this area.
