Fishing at Fallen Leaf Lake is best enjoyed by boat, though it's possible to catch fish from the shore with a strong cast. The lake is easily accessible via a short walk from Fallen Leaf Lake Road or Fallen Leaf Campground. Please note that fishing within 250 feet of the dam is illegal.
Sawmill Pond
Sawmill Pond is a stocked fishing pond exclusively for children 14 years of age and under. While adults are welcome to assist children, they are not permitted to fish themselves. This family-friendly spot is located just one mile south of South Lake Tahoe along Lake Tahoe Boulevard. It's a great place for young anglers to experience fishing in a beautiful, serene setting!
