07/19/2021Wife, daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. Overall a great place. Location was awesome. Great kitchen. Super close to Tahoe city (~6 mins away) for food/ grocery stores/ shopping. Also easy access to everything on the west side. Sugar Pines is a about 10-15 mins away and has fantastic and uncrowded beaches. Bliss is another 10’mins or so south. Ate on the deck at Sunnyside one night- great deck, food, view, and atmosphere- it’s about a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk- though we saw large male black bear on the road on the way back, so maybe drive… There is also access to a creek and trail directly across the street from the house. Strong wifi, comfy beds. Netflix ,cable, and a Nintendo wi. No cell service, but there is regular a phone there for local calls. (Or can do wifi calling). Couches are a bit dated, but pretty darn comfortable. Only negative- Deck needs some work-fine to sit on, but needs to have most of the floorboards replaced- and also needs a table (had comfy chairs and grill, but really needed a table so we could eat outside). Overall good place to stay.

11/11/2020I really enjoyed the stay over all. The one problem I had was in getting the TV up and running. You had to call a number to get a signal sent through the cable box. It took us a couple days to get it working. Having said that I would come back and stay again.
Comment from Jimmie MorrisBusiness OwnerI looked into the issue with the TV. Apparently the cable box needed to be reset and a request needed to come from our office. Once we were notified, we made the call to reset the box. Sorry for the inconvenience. Glad it's not keeping you away! We'll see you next time.

09/17/2019My kids loved this home! They called it the "tree house" because of the upstairs deck felt like you were in the trees. We brought our bikes and rode all the way to Homewood one day, and to Tahoe City another day for the farmer's market. So many great memories were made here. Can't wait to come back!

09/08/2019This house was great for our Cal Poly reunion girls weekend. We enjoyed Friday night on the deck with appetizers and drinks. Saturday we spent on the beach at Meeks Bay. Saturday night we walked down to Sunnyside for dinner and drinks. There were 8 of us. Although we don't mind sharing beds, there were a lot of single beds which worked well for our group. We will come back again. Possibly in the winter to ski at Homewood.
