Complete peace and tranquility are what you'll find in this authentic log cabin nestled in a stunning forest setting! Constructed almost a century ago, this cabin has been updated and redecorated without compromising the undeniable, mountain-living feel. Snowflakes gently falling outside the window complete this idyllic picture. There are two full bathrooms and a kitchen has been remodeled, offering travelers modern amenities while preserving the ambiance of this one-of-a-kind property. The master bedroom features an old-fashioned four-poster bed, and the deck offers a filtered but still breathtaking view of nearby Lake Tahoe. The upstairs bedroom with the 2 single beds is a loft. The private neighborhood offers a private community beach. The cabin's location on a quiet dead end street will make you feel a million miles away from the bustling, noisy city you left behind. Check out the Dixie Paddlewheeler, and enjoy a break from cooking at the Zephyr Cove Lodge. Zephyr Cove has areas where you can snowmobile, swim, or head out in your boat for a day on the water. Visit this property to escape city living and return to the simpler times of days gone by!

06/27/2024Lovely little cabin in a woodsy neighborhood. Historic cabin is cozy and adorable. When we arrived, it was absolutely sparkling clean. While it was built in 1927, it is fully insulated and the multiple heaters kept us plenty warm at night and the multiple fans kept us cool during the day. All appliances are modern and either new or in tip top shape. Fully stocked kitchen; I made a large batch of chili, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli, and made pancakes with ample kitchen supplies. Ate dinner at table on the deck every night. Birdfeeder brought us stellar jays, cowbirds, doves, and chipmunks. Absolutely delightful stay! You are given the gate code to be able to enter the private beach just south of the busy Zephyr Cove Beach. The same code gets you entry to Zephyr Cove Beach as well as their restaurant, store, and water toy rentals. Extremely pleasant and we spent half our days doing this. Short drive to many other pretty beaches, lakes, and parks. We were asked to sign an external contract and text an image of photo id, and selfie about 30 days before arrival; everything was fine. Tall folks take note; some beams are lower than 6 1/2 feet so watch your head. One of the loft beds has a log almost centered quite close above it; we just pulled the bed out in to the room a bit and that worked fine. Communication with the host was excellent and replies were very fast and helpful. Wonderful place, will try to stay here again if we come to the area.

11/22/2017Working with LTA was a pleasure, and arriving late the night of our reservation was accommodated very well! Just call ahead and they will leave a key for you at their office to pick up and let yourself in, then you just check in the morning following. Only gripe, which is a minor one, is that the cabin was quite dark when we arrived at night, and we had to use the car's lights to find it. It's recommend that a staff member leave a porch light on for late arrivals? I will say, we quite appreciated the welcome bottle of wine we received when we checked in, as well as all the info we got! Thanks! The cabin itself was gorgeous. Incredibly comfy, it stayed warm on 20 degree nights, and it was incredibly well stocked for a 3 day vacation. It enabled the perfect balance of privacy with my wife and fun social time with the other couple we were visiting with. Never felt crowded, or isolated. Finally, it's located just a 2 min walk from the lake shoreline, and a pier to get breathtaking photos from. And get in your car and you'll be within anything you need in 10 minutes or less. Thank you again for the incredible vacation, and hospitality. We certainly plan to take advantage of our returning customer discount and visit again!

08/30/2017The Lake Tahoe Accommodations were easy to work with and book. The cabin was at a perfect private location near the lake front on the South Side. The log cabin was a bit older yet great location and surrounding neighbors. There were a few spiders however, considering the mountain location I guess it common. The cabin was well stocked with TP, Towels, dish soap, etc. I use the accommodations again and would totally recommend them.
Victoria - Whittier, CA
08/02/2017Absolutely loved the cabin-modern amenities with an authentic Tahoe vibe-very old Tahoe. Amazing bathtub. Isolated and quiet. Rental agency was professional and extremely helpful. I will rent this cabin again!

01/24/2017We stayed for 5 days in January and it was amazing. The house is really cozy and beautiful. Fully equipped with everything you need: automatic heating system, grill, washer and dryer were very helpful after skiing/snowboarding. We enjoyed every second of our vacation, thanks to friendly stuff that made it easy to check in/check out and assisted with all the questions we had. 5 stars for sure.

10/09/2016We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend with two other couples in this log cabin. It was just what we were looking for. We especially enjoyed the short walk to the lake as well as proximity to shopping, restaurants, sight-seeing venues, etc.
Barry M - Huntersville, NC
10/05/2016We LOVED the property! It was exactly what we were hoping for! Very authentic log cabin. Little cabin in the woods for sure. Even though it was in a neighborhood, it was heavily wooded and it felt very private. We were able to walk down to the lake every night to put our feet in it! We had 6 adults staying there and everyone was very comfortable, even the ones sleeping in the loft! Loved the balcony out of the master bedroom. Only one problem...both porch lights were burnt out and it was extremely dark when we returned home at night. The outdoor steps are steep and hard to see where we were going. That should never happen. Cabin was very clean, plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. All of us would absolutely recommend this cabin! If we ever plan a big trip out west again, we would definitely want to stay there! Also, it was SO EASY to check in and out. The woman who checked us in was so helpful and friendly. Other than the porch lights, we had no complaints whatsoever! Great!
Comment from Jimmie MorrisBusiness OwnerThe bulbs have been replaced in the outdoor light fixtures. We will "Leave the Light on" for your next reservation!
Eric O - West Sacramento, CA
07/01/2016The whole process of getting the cabin rented, picking up the key, the stay itself and checking out was perfect! We will rent again.
Karfar - Sacramento, CA
06/17/2016We had 6 women for a getaway weekend and it was fantastic! Property was as described, everything was great. We cooked/BBQ'd both nights we were there, also had a fire in the woodstove. Rental office was awesome to work with. Beach is short walk, but we spent most of our time on the (large and comfy) cabin deck or inside (it was still pretty cold in April). We will return again. Loved this location, accommodation, and company. Can't say enough how fantastic our experience here was.
Brian & - Palmdale, CA
02/04/2016This cabin was the highlight of our trip. It's better then we imagined and the pictures don't do it justice. If you want the real cabin experience this is it. From the moment that we arrived we felt like we were at home. Very rustic and beautiful. We will rent this cabin again in the near future.
Donna T - Hollister, CA
09/01/2015Love this little cabin. It was cozy, will rent this little gem again. It was close to the beach. Quiet, so not a party pad. Hard to find the first time but plenty of parking. Stores just down the road, maybe 5 minutes so close to everything.
Grandma B - Northern California
08/25/2015The cabin was comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The beach was close enough that even the small children could handle the walk. Watch the beam in the dining room beam if you're over 6'2". My son bonked his head.
Fantastic R - Modesto, CA
07/10/2015I am beyond pleased with this cabin, me and 4 others had plenty of room and loved every moment we were there. Very rustic, quick walk to the lake, ferry boat and parasailing. We absolutely were so happy to stay in a "real" cabin. Thank you so much, very comfortable and clean! Will be back in winter to enjoy the snow next time!
Steven & - Tustin, CA
06/28/2015The cabin was had a authentic rustic feel, but had modern amenities such as the new bathroom. It was a little darker inside than in the pictures - must have been a good photographer. The television needs instructions on how to use it. It has 3 remotes; one for the TV, VCR/DVD player, and the satellite box. I figured it out after the first night, but a write-up would have helped. I told the office staff when we checked out, so hopefully this has been taken care of. If you are tall (I'm 6' 1") you do have to be careful. I slightly brushed my head against the ceiling beam one time. The kitchen was very basic but nice. Good for breakfast or dinner if you don't feel like going out that evening. There is a supermarket and some restaurants a very short drive away, but the location on the cove makes it feel like you're out in the forest. Very satisfied overall.
Darrin - Willard, UT
04/28/2015The cabin was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and we will book again in the future! Thank you LTA
Heather V - Lathrop, CA
04/10/2015Loved it! Great view! Nice quiet and so close to the lake! Real log cabin.
Pedro - Salinas, CA
12/18/2014I stayed in this wonderful cabin for my birthday with a couple of friends when a winter storm was coming in. It was warm during the snow, and we all enjoyed the natural cabin look and feel to this whole place. The location was great with a Raley's nearby and a Safeway even nearer. Nice part of town too. Con: Charter Cable didn't work for the first night due to the winter storm (not really fault of the cabin). Door for master bedroom locked from outside in, so one could be locked into the master bedroom, luckily the master bedroom has its own outside door. Overall great cabin, great location, will probably come again.
Comment from Jimmie MorrisBusiness OwnerThanks for letting us know about the master bedroom lock. We are getting it fixed so you won't have to go around on your next visit.

11/13/2014Everything was so romantic and cozy. We got married while we were staying there. Would recommend and would go again in a hot second.
Paul B - Jenkintown, PA
10/14/2014Great little cabin with lots of history and charm. Has all the conveniences you need for a week stay or more, but still rustic and cozy. If you are over 6 feet tall, watch the doorways and one beam in the living area.
Roberta C - Los Angeles, CA
10/06/2014Best experience for all my family. Thank you very much. Our stay was really, really pleasant.
Indre & - Sacramento, CA
08/21/2014Ideal for our needs. Prompt response by staff, Dave, to replace BBQ tanks & coffee pot. Terrific weekend for us and children.
Joanna - Cayucos, CA
08/09/2014We stayed at the cabin while attending a family wedding at Zephyr Cove Resort, which is walking distance from the cabin. (Although, on the day of the ceremony we chose to drive as walking in heels would not have been the best!). The cabin is extremely comfortable, in a quiet location, & the deck is fabulous for enjoying the High Sierra mornings, afternoons, & evenings. A very short walk to the private beach at Zephyr Cove. The cabin has everything you need - we appreciated the rustic quality & history to the cabin. Yet, it has been upgraded to provide very nice cooking, sleeping, bathroom features. Lake Tahoe Accommodations was great! They provided a nice welcome bag, including wine, coffee, & tips on places to go. My only complaint? That we didn't have enough time to actually spend at the cabin & enjoy what it had to offer since we were so busy with family wedding activities!
Greg - Philadelphia, PA
06/11/2014We rented the cabin for a low key bachelor party weekend and had an awesome time. The people at LTA are friendly and awesome, the house was nice and clean, and perfect for close access to Zephyr Cove beaches. I highly recommend this place!
I V - San Jose, CA
05/01/2014Customer service is very friendly and helpful! I received a welcome gift tote w/useful items like a wine bottle opener, hand cream, etc., and even a bottle of wine. The cabin was clean, spacious and well heated when I arrived. The kitchen was fully stocked w/everything I needed to prepare meals and clean up afterwards. They even provided laundry soap to go along w/the washer & dryer! My only negative point would be the TV. The cable connection was down for all but 3 hrs of my 3 night stay. Fortunately, I took DVDs, but the TV was small. Definitely could use an upgrade. Other than that, a great stay! Town is nearby, lake is close. Whether you want to be active or just relax, this is a nice place to do it!
Comment from Jimmie MorrisBusiness OwnerWe're sorry about the issue with the cable TV. We would have been happy to get it fixed for you, but we didn't know about it until you checked out. We're glad you had a great stay and enjoyed the beautiful views and mountain air! We hope to see you again soon!
Craig S - Seaford, NY
03/04/2014We had a great time! Thank you!
Craig - New York, NY
01/07/2014This cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a clean, easily accessible cabin with a true "mountain" feel, close enough to the casinos, gondola and the Lake. Too bad all the snow was back home on the east coast this time! Everyone at the rental agency was super nice and helpful, and the check-in/check-out was a breeze. The bottle of wine and coffee/tea was a great treat. The heat was on when we arrived, everything was clean and there were clean towels for all 6 adults. We'll absolutely be looking into renting through them again, and will likely try to get the same Zephyr Cove log cabin. Special thanks to Bonnie for the help!
Lake T - Virginia City, NV
09/02/2013We have always wanted to rent an authentic old Lake Tahoe Log Cabin and this rental was exactly what we wanted. Its charming and like living in the past yet has all the required modern amenities. We enjoyed the quiet street, the very short walk to the homeowners beach and sitting on the great private deck surrounded by the forest. It has some views of the lake and you can watch the Dixie leave and return to the cove. The stairs and floor do squeak a little but what old cabin doesn't and it's not irritating. It is small but perfect for a family. It's only a couple miles to the casinos and great restaurants. If you want to spend some quality time relaxing in the past, this is the rental for you.
Rach - Texas
08/22/2013We loved the cabin. Not really kid friendly but you can make it work. Yes, there were bugs but it is by a lake-we expected that. We loved that it had a private beach because we had kids, 5 and under. It was quiet and no one was loud or obnoxious. When calling about an extended stay or a late checkout make sure you call the office that you physically checked into. We called the main number for a late check out and the lady said no but when we were turning in our keys the guy said we could of had a late checkout and that we did not call their office. Other than that we had a wonderful time and we will return next year for another family vacation.

07/04/2013Stay was great, just too short!
M. T - Oregon City, OR
02/08/2012We loved this "original "log home. It's located in a great area , easy access to lake. We were 6 adults for part of the week. The loft area is small, so better for 4 adults and 2 kids. But we still loved it, and had a great week . We will be back.
Polypterus - Palo Alto, CA
01/12/2012Everything went well. The cabin was great. It looks like an old log cabin that has been renovated and expanded. They did a fairly good job in keeping the log cabin feel on the extensions. It's really only has two bedrooms as one of the bed rooms is a loft and you have to walk though it to get to the other two bed rooms so don't expect three private bed rooms. There are two bathrooms one up stairs with a shower and one downstairs with an old fashioned style tub which was really cool. There is a washer and dryer, a TV and wireless internet that was fast enough for Skype. The fireplace can be used for heating but there is also a regular heater and a few electric heaters if you need them. I wouldnt say everything is absolutely pristine but in general it was in very good shape and I was not disappointed at all. Also its just a five minute walk to the beach which seemed to be home to a flock of mallards. Some were so accustomed to people they would jump up like dogs to take food from your hand. My four year old had blast with the ducks. Bottom line, I would consider renting it again.
Soccer F - Campbell/Los Gatos, CA
09/21/2011The cabin was very well described and clean. The children loved it. Location can not be better and there are plenty of activities to do around. My only complaint was that since it is an old cabin, it is very noisy at night (squeaky stairs and floors), one of the bathrooms is just for those who want to sit in a bathtub (since the shower head does not stretch long enough- see pics on the website). The rest was all fine and we enjoyed it. We would like to come back. Customer service was GREEAAT. Thank you.
Laine - Sacramento, CA
07/11/2011Amazing location! We could not have asked for a better place to rest our heads on our fourth of July vacation! We will definitely be booking with Lake Tahoe Accommodations again!
Mayank B - San Diego, CA
03/25/2011Lake Tahoe has been one of my favorite destinations in the world. I want to come every winter because it is so beautiful. We were a group of six, and we rented this cabin for the Christmas holiday. It was very easy and convenient to book the cabin online and to check-in. We loved it. It was really nice and the interior was great which added a true feel of vacation. The cabin was equipped with the basic amenities for cooking, laundry, etc, which made our stay very convenient. The only problem was that the wireless internet was not working at the time of our stay and the service provider was not available to repair the problem due to Christmas, but it was quite manageable without it. Overall our stay was very pleasant and the Lake Tahoe Accommodations staff was very cooperative.
Rudy S - Redwood City, CA
04/07/2010Our first time in a cabin in Tahoe. Very nice, just the right size for 4 adults. We would definitely stay there again. It's close to the Lake and Heavenly. Great spot.
Joy - San Jose, CA
07/05/2009This is a great rental for family get away, especially for5-6 people. The house is clean and in great shape. We enjoyed it very much. The neighborhood is quiet and close to beach. Very nice.
Ronan - Vienna, Austria
04/02/2009We had a great time in that historic log cabin with our family. I would definitely recommend it to a family for a great getaway.
