Camp Richardson

Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe is a great place for year-round recreation. Located on the south shore, it is probably most well known for the Beacon, Beachside Restaurant and it's signature "Rum Runner" adult beverage.  A very popular spot for boat launching, you'll find a full service marina with boat rentals, a waterski school and a general store to purchase souvenirs and beach snacks.  The beach area is big and is bordered by the lake on one side and tall pine trees on the other so its easy to find shade.  "Camp Rich", as the locals call it, is home to many popular annual festivals such as the Renaissance Faire and Oktoberfest and is a great stop on the South Shore Bike Trail.  During the busy summer months you'll have to pay to park here.  Parking rates vary by the day.
