Lake Tahoe Ice Skating

Ice skating has always been a favorite winter sport for locals and visitors to the Lake Tahoe area.  The rink is the place to go to put together hockey games, take the family ice skating, or, just spend some time on your own, gliding in the midst of other friendly ice skaters.  Ice skating venues are as varied as the people who use them.  In the early 1960's you could skate in the Olympic Pavilion at Squaw Valley and on the many ponds and small lakes.  Present day, you'll find outdoor rinks at Squaw Valley, Northstar and the Heavenly Village.  An indoor year round arena is located in the center of South Lake Tahoe.   The indoor rink comes equipped with a snack bar, an arcade, a retail store, and more. Bring your own skates or rent them and prepare for a fun time on the ice with family and friends.
