POPE-BALDWIN BIKE TRAIL

This commendable bike trail, located just west of South Lake Tahoe , is well-known for its ability to easily accommodate children. Take the entire family on this airy and spacious path, and be ready to take a mellow ride through the green, relaxing forest surrounding the lake. Don't worry about being bothered by long lines of traffic, for this path is fairly uninterrupted, aside from the very few and mostly quiet roads that cross its tranquil ground. While it follows highway 89 between the road and the beach there are numerous beaches and historical features along or near the the trail.
