Lake Tahoe is surrounded by golf courses which are sure to satisfy the urge of players at every level. There's a price point for just about everyone too. The South Shore brings four public courses with Edgewood Tahoe, annual home to the celebrity golf championship, being the jewel in the mantle. Many of the courses have breathtaking views of the lake which differ with every hole, and each one is bright in natural color and full of the lovely outdoor smells of California. The North Shore features roughly six courses (depending upon how you define the North Shore), with Incline Village's Chamionship Course wearing the crown here. There is also an ever growing number of excellent courses popping up now in the Martis valley and Truckee area. When winter arrives, avid golfers turn their eyes to the Carson Valley where nine courses lie within an hours drive. These are all quite reasonably priced.
